Week 69- Moving backwards or forward

 Aloha 皆さん、

Recently I've been feeling very stuck. Like I'm not progressing or moving forward just as a person, as a whole. It was a really crappy feeling but I kinda wasn't doing anything about it.

I was too lazy to get in the grinder of working out everyday. Even when I did I let one bad day stop me from working out everyday. I was letting my scripture study be complacent, not focusing and being as diligent as I used to be during personal study. And just overall got into a rhythm of saying the same things in my prayers.

Honestly I don't remember if I read this in a Devotional or heard it from someone but it's about moving forward or backwards.

We as disciples of Christ do things everyday/week that helps us come closer to God and Jesus Christ. We can pray, study the scriptures, repent, go to church, be kind to others. Doing these things help us go step by step on the path to Jesus. But if we don't do those things everyday, contrary to what we may think we aren't staying in the same place. We are taking steps backwards. So in order to continuously become closer to Christ we must do the small things everyday. Continue to strive to do our best.

Relating that to me at the moment. I rationalized.

“Oh its okay if I don't workout today I'll be fine.”

“Yeah if I eat McDonald's it'll be fine, I'll just lock on later.”

Later never comes LOL. You have to start now.

Anyways for this transfer we have a Zone focus of “Do ye love me? feed my sheep” and one of the action points we have is to put something on the altar to become a more Consecrated missionary. I could've copped out and said monster since the mission President hates me or wtv but I decided not to be a bum. To actively start taking steps forward. Make goals and better myself. Pray it last me the rest of my mission cause I have major dad bod right now.

But yeah I recommend you look at how you can start taking steps forward. Realize what you need to work on and make goals.

Transfers:

We had transfers and I'm staying in the same place with the same companion! This past transfer was a ton of fun so I'm super glad. Unfortunately I didn't get to go to hakata station and see everybody but I'm real excited about the Zone this transfer!

MLC:

Same old same old, got to see all my favorite missionaries. We also had gas breakfast and lunch, it was around July 4th so lots of American food!

TRIOO:
So it's kinda crazy but I'm in a trio with Mariteragi 長老. Kinda weird watching someone I went into the MTC with be in their last transfer and I get to be one of his last companions. Anyways, it's been a lot of lot of fun. This is my fourth time being in a trio but this one has by far been my favorite. Missionary work and down time has been a blast so I'm stoked for the transfer.

Hurricane came:
One day got a surprise. A Hurricane swept into our apartment. Some Hurricane popcorn🙌 Oh my days. I was so happy. Me, toya and mari-chan have been eating 2 packs a day. We will probably run out tmrw or today but hey, thank you mom and Ray. I love you❤️
