This week I'll just share that EVERYTHING is in God's timing and things happen for a reason. We have to have patience so that even when times are hard we can keep pushing forward. Our efforts will blossom and just because things are hard at the moment or you don't see immediate results doesn't mean your effort is going to waste!
HIGHLIGHTS:
-Golden referral!
-Drivers license
-Saturday Activities
-Friends progressing!
Golden Referral:
So we got this referral for someone who wanted to do a Jkaiwa (Japanese speaking class) which is pretty standard since my companion is Japanese so it's easier for us to teach those. We thought it was gonna be a normal no answer or someone not super interested in the Gospel but more wanting to learn Japanese. But when we set up the appointment we were surprised a 15 year old girl from China pulled up speaking pretty much fluent Japanese. We were like “sooo why did you want to meet with us for Jkaiwa” and she absolutely dropped a bomb on us and was like “I just wanna study the Japanese Bible” my mind was blown. Not only is that so rare for someone to just wanna study the Bible with us but for a 15 year old to do that all on her own was absolutely insane. Anyways we read from Genesis and gave a her a Bible which she was super thankful for and talked a bit. But I'm just soo hyped because literally she's so cool. When I was 15 I definitely wasn't thinking about studying the Bible. LOL mad props.
Drivers license:
OBTAINED. Let's go! I got my drivers license which is super cool. It ate up a whole lot of time which kinda sucked but now I can drive a car in Japan until 2027 which is wild considering I won't even be in Japan for that long. But yeah just wanted to share because I think it's so cool I can just casually drive a car in Japan when presented with the opportunity.
Saturday Activities:
So our Saturday was low-key packed. We had Volleyball from 1pm to 3pm and a ton of people came. It was super fun! I always love playing volleyball! After that though we had to set up for our Pancake art night we had and we could not have prepared for how many non members showed up to that. The Fukuoka Sisters 2 invited this one guy they talked to on the street and the guy invited like 7 other friends. That on top of all the friends everyone else invited it was SUPER fun! I was able to talk to the Boys and get some of their lines and invite them to activities and such. And almost everyone from the pancake art night came to our basketball activity right after and it was so fun to play 3v3 and have a whole crowd watching, cheering, and just chatting with eachother! It was super fun and a lot of everyone's efforts and hard work from this transfer really showed with those Saturday Activities!
Friends progressing:
A lot of our friends are coming to church. A whole whopping 3 of our friends came to church and so many of them are asking such good questions and overall seem to have a real interest in what we share. I'm super happy for all of them and I'm glad they are building that relationship with Jesus Christ and finding their own path in life. It was really hard earlier in the transfer to see that interest in a lot of the people we meet with but recently it's been super apparent!
While all of this is super cool, transfers are coming up next Thursday. And we don't find out where we are going till tomorrow night. I'm super excited for transfers but I REALLY DO NOT want to leave Fukuoka. I'm really hoping for one or two more transfers here so I can see more of our efforts bloom! UGHHH but whatever God Wills I will follow. Hopefully cheerfully LOL
Anyways that's all I really need to start making these ahead of time!
Shoots!
