Week 46- Becoming a tired father

 Yooo 皆、

I should've written this earlier cause I have no motivation and Hirotaka came to Hiroshima to chill with us sooo. Yeah no time sorry. Thought I'd write something before my parents kill me for not writing twice in a row.

Wanted to share an experience I had over the past two weeks.

We were doing a mogi (practice lessons) with an inactive member who happens to be the branch president's daughter. After the mogi was over she started opening up about why she doesn't really like the church and it had a lot to do with her parents putting a bunch of pressure on her to go on a mission go to church, etc. She shared that because of the pressure it made her despise going to church and reading scriptures. But she also wondered because she had broken away from the church could she really be forgiven. It was a really amazing opportunity to share from Luke 15:3-7

3 ¶ And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

After sharing this scripture with her she began to cry. She shared her father had shared this scripture with her many times and she always hated it. But reading it with us in that time somehow it was different. Remember to open your hearts to God, and do things for yourself. Find your own reasons for doing things you want to do. Not because of the pressure for others. You will inevitably come to hate that thing.

I could go on and on but I'm seriously lacking in the brain department right now so it woudnt make much sense.
