Week 51- Well I Guess I'll Be Soaked In Water
Aloha 皆さん、
Yep the way it's looking, I'll be soaked in ice cold water tomorrow…. Oh well if it helps the district focus on all the awesome things that brings em joy I guess I'll sacrifice some discomfort.
Anyways yeah it's been a blast recently! Every night the district has been calling and just sharing reasons why we've felt joy everyday and having a blast together, hopefully it continues throughout the transfer. One thing I've noticed myself is whenever I reflect back on the day I can ALWAYS find something that brought me joy! It also helps when you are looking for those reasons you've felt joy it becomes way easier to recognize those reasons!
I hope even though some of the missionaries may be struggling with some things I hope they can find the small reasons they felt joy in their everyday lives. I invite you all to look for them too.
Here's something I came across in my personal study. I invite you all to read/listen to it. It was really good and yeah my head is empty so it encompasses all my thoughts on joy!
Finding Joy in Life
Highlights:
-exchanges
-Zone conference this week
-Our friends
Exchanges:
We have a ton of exchanges coming up and had an exchange as well. This past week I was with Campbell 長老 and we had a lot of fun doing missionary work in Kure. I always love exchanges because I get to talk and really get to know the other missionary a lot better. Anyways we went housing and got to talk to a cool young dude who hopefully will message us (if not it's okay we know where he lives). But I also have Zone Leader exchanges tomorrow and another exchange with the Elders next week. So no lack of exchanges this transfer! Fun stuff :)
Zone Conference:
Wooo! We get Zone conference super early this transfer, so it'll be super fun to see everybody and get some awesome trainings. Honestly just stoked to see some awesome missionaries :p
Our friends:
Haven't updated about our friends in a while so. Most of our friends don't really have an interest in the gospel which is super hard. We invited one of our friends (kinoko) to start coming to church with us and she said ) 今の所で大丈夫です。Which literally means “I'm fine where I'm at.” And then our other (kinda) friend (Sawada) just flat out rejects us. So sad, but the Islamic mom and son still come to church every Sunday and are really building a good relationship with all the members. It's a little hard to teach with the intent to convert but that's a problem for future me. Right now we are just trying to build strong relationships with our friends so that they feel loved and welcomed at church! It's hard and we are doing a lot of finding so hopefully things will turn around :/
Okay Das all cuz no time fr
Shoots!
愛してるよ!
