Week 20- 神様によってなんでもことができます

Image
Aloha 皆さん!! As the day for departure nears close the more miracles and blessings I see as the result of the past two transfers come to a close. This week we were able to do so much good and it was amazing! We were able to find 3 more people, put another person on date and plan to put two more on date! I was really thinking about it and how truly blessed we are. Heavenly Father has helped and guided the people we teach and talk to and prepared them to receive his gospel. It's truly amazing. It reminded me of Alma 26:12!  12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever I know that these things that we were able to accomplish so far are not because of myself. But because of Heavenly Father and the blessings he bestows upon us. Through Heavenly Father anything i...

Week 19- Running out of email titles

Image
Aloha 皆さん、 I don't know if the title is still the same on my email as it is on my Google docs but I am definitely running out of ideas for email titles. That or my brain is running on empty. I thought about not writing an email this week because I didn't feel like it but that's how I would stop writing emails altogether. And I know some people would kill me for that. I'm gonna start this one off with one of the weekly highlights I'm a little proud of. So we were hanging out with this other companionship and things ended up getting a little heated between the two of them. They ended up going back and forth about something and it escalated real fast. One of the Elders kicked our table at the other Elder and they both just got up ready to fight. And if you don't know anything about mission rules basically if you throw a punch at another person that's a one way ticket home. So both of them were just egging each other on and I had already gotten in the middle o...

Week 18- Awaiting 日本

Image
Aloha 皆さん、 Not gonna lie, it's been a bit rough since I've gotten word about my VISA and departure date ( February 12th ). Not in the sense like I'm struggling with my companion or that I've been depressed but now I'm just super really wanting to go to Japan. Don't get me wrong I LOVE this area and the members in it and all the people we are teaching but man it's been a long wait for Japan and now it's only a month away. Honestly it just feels like a Wes Anderson shot. Day by day passing away at least that's what I kind of think of it though. With the wait for Japan though it has me thinking about the difference between Japan and Utah and how blessed I am to have both missions. The biggest difference for me anyways is definitely going from 2 stakes, 17 wards to 1 ward. Maybe Sundays will actually be a day of rest if I'm not trying to go to as many wards as possible in one day, but I'm super stoked about that aspect. On a more serious note I...

Week 17- A totally boring email with NO updates

Image
Aloha 皆さん、 I'm honestly really tired and it's been super busy, so this'll be short but this week was a blast. This week was great from two exchanges in a row, finding new people to teach, putting someone on date and a bit more. So I'll just go over all the awesomes of the week and one low. Sorry no essay on my spiritual thoughts, I know some of you really look forward to it. Highlights: Exchanges: GAS GAS GAS, but it was super tiring. Went on exchanges for 3 days straight and got to go with one of the most obedient missionaries I know right now and my zone leader. It was a lot of fun to effectively do a ton of missionary work and really just be with other missionaries and see how they teach and how different they are. It was also super cool to talk to them and get to know them better. It was super tiring though because I scheduled a ton of stuff for us to do, especially with the zone leader. But super gas honestly. New Friend: While on exchanges we had a member messag...

Week 16- Patience and Hope

Aloha 皆さん, Join my Google photos album pls🤸‍♂️ https://photos.app.goo.gl/AHMSwiJyAjcEjecb7 Rough week :/ All of our lessons canceled except for one. Lots of meetings, and I had to start another comp inventory two days into the new transfer. Aiyah, but I was able to study a lotttt this week. I focused my study on chapter 6 of preach my gospel. Which focuses on christlike attributes. Honestly it was super gas and a great reminder to myself on what those attributes are and what they look like. I focused on patience and hope during my study because I think that's what I continually need the most of. I also prayed a lot to Heavenly Father to help me strengthen and help me grow my patience and hope. Which I'm thinking why it was such a rough week with a lot of pride having to be pushed on the side on my part. But nevertheless I am grateful because these experiences are helping me grow, even if it is extremely frustrating. As I studied patience and hope though I learned so much. I ...
